Team Member Profile: Ashley Wessela

Great home designs are one of the secrets to our success as a leading home builder in Meridian ID. It takes a talented team of people to design our homes, and today we’d like to highlight one of those team members.

Ashley Wessela has been a member of our Drafting & Design team for 3 years. Her specialties are drawing elevations and floor plan changes, developing specs for our new home designs, and choosing exterior color packages.

“I take great pride in trying to come up with new ideas and concepts for our homes,” Ashley says. “When people drive through our communities I want them to feel happy, at home, and intrigued to see what’s around the next corner.”

When designing color packages for a new home, Ashley starts by getting a feel for the personality of the design. She picks colors that enhance that personality and really bring it to life. She also takes the buyer’s perspective to imagine what color options she would like to have as a potential owner of that home. Sometimes color combinations come to her immediately, and at other times she has to spend more time thinking about what would be best for a particular design. “I try to give every house the same respect I would give my own because purchasing a home is one of the biggest milestones in a person’s life,” she says.

Ashley enjoys the teamwork involved in creating our new home designs. She and the other team members share ideas with one another and exchange feedback to come up with the best designs for our new homes. Before joining Brighton, she worked at a custom residential design firm.

Ashley is a Boise native and attended Meridian High School. She enjoys outdoor activities and boating with her family, as well as music and traveling.

“I’m proud to be from Boise, and I love this beautiful city,” Ashley says. “I wanted to make sure to be part of a company that keeps community always in mind and helps preserve the magic of Boise when doing development. I love that I get to help paint this beautiful city.”
